These prints are part of an URSI project (2024) on creating and printing models of accelerometers (left) and gyroscopes (right) in order to improve education on MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) devices that are normally too small to see without a microscope. The project was done by Joanna Wahl ’27 and overseen by Professor Juan Merlo-Ramirez.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

These prints are part of an URSI project (2024) called the HARPER Project. It aims to create a humanoid robot for human-machine interaction research purposes. This summer’s goal is to redesign the upper arm to reduce friction and save space while allowing HARPER to retain humanlike movements. The parts printed above are motor housings, motor supports, motor stabilizers, and motor caps. The prints were done by Joselyn Xa-Chin ’27 and the project was overseen by Professor Ken Livingston.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
